Operations Support Unit Manager

Job Responsibilities

  • Responsible for appropriate functioning of the overall all Operations Process.
  • Identify operational and structure weakness and help to improve the existing or develop new processes to keep operations as efficient as possible, especially, transforming the manual to automated processes.
  • Develop and implement standards, SOPs, policies, and procedures.
  • Provide valuable inputs towards system and process changes to eliminate wastage and bring in additional controls. Carry out project/UAT’s on system changes (related operations) and share valuable inputs with Technology teams.
  • Create Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for performance monitoring and quality measurement purposes for the operations support service/unit and monitor their achievement on a periodic basis.
  • Identify, develop and make improvements to operational processes and implementation of systems and projects changes for the Banking Operations.
  • Train/refreshment branch staff and responsible for new products, system and process changes and ensure appropriate training has been imparted before enhancements going live.
  • Identify any areas for professional development of self and all direct reports, and act to enhance professional development of self and others.
  • Build and maintain strong and effective relationships with all other related departments and units to achieve the Group’s goals/ objectives.
  • Train/refreshment branch staff responsible for new products, system and process changes and ensure appropriate training has been imparted before enhancements going live.
  • Conduct periodic self-audits to ensure quality standards are maintained and refer issues to the management.
  • To proactively maintain regular engagement with key client contacts in line with client expectations.
  • The continuous identification implementation of operational best practice through interaction with the wider team.
  • Ensure high standards of data protection and confidentiality to safeguard commercially sensitive information.
  • Excellent leadership, people management, communication and influencing skills at a senior level.
  • Other tasks would be assigned by the Head of Operations.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum hold a bachelor’s degree in Finance and Banking, Accounting, or Business Administration.
  • At least 6 years’ experience in settlement and cash management for banks.
  • Well understanding of banking operations workflow and process and ability to develop banking operations policies and procedures and translate to actions.
  • Experience in developing SOPs or Guideline for banking operations
  • Understand about vision, mission, core values, regulations, and other principles of HH Bank of Cambodia.
  • Be a good team player with a sense of responsibility and adaptability.
  • Good computer literacy (MS Word, Excel, Power Point, Email and Internet).
  • High proficiency in English knowledge.
  • Ability prioritizes, multi-task and work well under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Skills in managing, communicating, reporting, solving problems, and interpersonal skills.
  • High committed, Proactive, confident and talent to work.
  • Ability to develop banking operations policies and procedures and translate to actions.
